Message To My People ~ The Prophets Do Speak
Message To My People ~          The Prophets Do Speak

Elisha and Gehazi

Went not mine heart with thee?             (2 Kings 5:26)

Is it time to receive money, and to receive garments, and olive yards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maid servants (2 Kings 5:26)?  These were the words of the prophet Elisha to his servant Gehazi, in a sharp rebuke to his servant for his selfish desires.

The Holy Spirit sentence Gehazi with leprosy for his evil desires. This story of Elisha and Gehazi happen centuries ago, and still it keeps repeating itself even today. By what we can see, Gehasi was a servant. He was poor and a wanderer from place to place as he followed the prophet Elisha. He had barely enough to eat day by day as he walked by faith with Elisha. The only problem here, he was not content with just having the basic. His heart was not in the right place. Gehazi thought it is only right he get a little money, after all he was poor and faith life was a little too hard, wandering with the prophet from place to place. Gehazi made a wrong decision; he went after the gifts Naaman had offered Elisha without his master’s permission. Elisha sentenced Gehazi with leprosy, he probably died of leprosy and lost his opportunity for greatness. He could have walked in the footsteps of Elijah, or even of his master Elisha. He could have asked for a double portion of his master’s spirit. Rather, Gehazi chose the path of death, for being short sighted and not understanding the path of life, which is obeying the ways of God even if it comes through the man of God.

There is nothing wrong with money, garments, olive yards, vineyards, sheep, and oxen, and servants.  The only problem is, how are we getting these things, are we selling our soul to Satan to get these things, are we bypassing God to get them.  Are we making wrongful alliances with the enemy.   If we are compromising our salvation in this manner, we are out of the will of God.  A curse may come upon us in some form or another (2 Kings 5:27).   In these days surprisingly the church is full of Gehazis.  We as Christians cannot ignore the truth of the Bible, for if we do knowingly we will pay a high price and maybe our salvation.  Was the heart (word) of God with you (2 Kings 5:26), when you pressed the button at the voting booth?  This is the question and the word of the Lord to God’s people.

As I observed the recent elections in this country of the USA, and heard how many Christians voted against Gods will, a burden came upon me that led me to prayer.  After some time the Lord gave me a word for God’s people, especially to those that voted against the counsel of God as prescribed in the Holy Bible.  That word is found in 2 Kings 5:26, Went not mine heart with thee’.  The Lord highlighted this words to me, and these I pass unto you dear reader.  Please take these words to prayer, that you may not be condemned by them, but that you may be bless by them.

In recent presidential elections, there is verifiable research that shows the Christian vote gave the presidential candidate, the first African-American the victory in the elections.  Many Christians willingly ignore the candidates past record and statements he made publicly; he’s antichrist beliefs and long time associations with man of Belial.  In this article I am lead to speak about some Biblical truth that Christians should consider when choosing their leaders, that when we come before that terrible Day of Judgment there should be no hindrances instead a sure open door to glory.

'………and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered' (Ezek 3:20) Dear believer, all your good works will not be found in the books of remembrance in the library of the judge (Jesus) at Judgment Day, if thou turn away from the right path.  I’m specially speaking to those who voted opposite of biblical guidelines, giving victory to our latest president who has anti Christian beliefs.  The Psalmist cry, But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped, ……for I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. , …..so foolish was I, and ignorant : I was as a beast before thee, ……. Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end”(Ps 73:2,3,22,17) If we don’t understand God’s ways thru the bible, or obey his word, we will become as a beast and our decisions would show exactly that.  When you vote to cut off the head of the unborn is not that a beastly decision? Perhaps you are not spending enougth time in the sanctuary of God, or reading the scriptures.  The word of God is a light that lights the way (Ps 119:105), it leads us in the right decision direction.  Focusing on the prosperity of the wicked or desiring material things out of the will of God, may cause us to make a wrong decision and possibly end like Gehazi himself.  If our eyes are focus on the Lord we will not fail.  For God there is a time and a place for everything, God will judge everything in his time.  Our Christian duty is to do the right thing according to his word.

The lord said to Israel, ‘…….thou shall not make covenant with them (Deut 7:2). Likewise us Christians, the outside world, institutions, governments, political parties and candidates we ought not make alliances with them, especially if they go against our Christian beliefs, which comes from the Bible.  We should never for a moment think that God doesn’t see (Ps 11:4).  He reminded his people not to make alliances with the nations around them because of their abominations.  These nations today take the form of corporations, governments, political parties and their candidates, any evil entity that tramples on the word of God (the Bible).  In these days many are giving up their heavenly inheritance to save their lives, ‘Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life (Job 2:4) They have giving up on the kingdom that is above to the one that is below.  Satan offered the kingdoms below to Jesus, if only Jesus would worship him (Matt 4:9).  Job like Jesus was tested, and he came out shining like gold (Job 42:12).  If we are compromising our faith for some material blessing, than we are receiving filthy lucre (1Tim 3:3).  All our righteousness will become filthy rags (Isa 64:6).

Where there is no vision, the people perish.  That manner of sound doctrine the Lord delivered to us, which comes from the Bible (Rom 6:17).  Not to give in to other philosophies, but to contend for the faith that was passed unto us, keeping the vision fresh in our hearts with all obedience (Acts 26:19).  Maintaining the doctrine of holiness, separation and the coming of the Lord.  Not selling our souls for bread or any material thing, but through prayer and supplication letting our petitions be heard before his throne.

We must understand God’s plan for us and the glories reserve for us in heavens (Cor 2:9).  He will not let us down.  Joseph is the perfect example.  In the Lord’s time he exalted him second highest to the kingdom (Gen 41:43).  We all need to walk humble, for his watching, he hears the desire of the humble (Ps 10:17).  ‘Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts’ (Jam 4:3) This is a truth spoken by James that we should carefully consider, at the same time James reminds us, the lord giveth grace to the humble.

We should be very careful when we say ‘Long Live the King’, like in the old days.  Who are we giving power to?  In Revelation 13 it says the world worshipped the dragon and the beast, and power was given to the beast, to blaspheme God and his Tabernacle, the Church.  In these days we see our government warring against the church, the present administration is famous for this.  There is a great deception going on in these days, were even the elect will be deceive (Mat 24:24).  Satan knows how to deceive the masses, and that is through our bellies.  Remember the days of Noah (Matt 24:37,38), they were eating and drinking until it was too late for them.  This may be a wakeup call to watch and pray, that we may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass (Lk 21:36) ‘…….Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God ‘ (Mat 4:4).  The Lord said to the church, ‘………hold that fast which thou hast (his word), that no men take thy crown’ (Rev 3:11).

Faith requires sacrifices, as we learn from the heroes of faith in the epistle to the Hebrews chapter 11.  Moses forsook the riches of Egypt, to suffer affliction with his people.  Others were tortured, mocked, scourging, bonds and imprisonment.  They were stoned, sawn asunder, tempted, slain with the sword, and wandered in sheepskin and goat skins, destitute, afflicted, and tormented.  They wandered in deserts, mountains and dens and caves of the earth.  These things they suffered for a hope of a better resurrection (Heb 11:35), for if they would have denied the Lord when they were tried, they would not stand in the congregation of the righteous on that glorious day.  Likewise us, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Heb 12:1,2).

Now dear believer, confidence, patience, wait for him, living by faith, don’t draw back (from his word), believing to the end (Heb 10:35-39) are the things we should be strengthening.  If you have compromise your faith, ask God to forgive you and to help you stand for his word.  Read the Bible, seek counsel from ministers who share this same views as stated in this article.  You may contact us for questions, comments and prayer.  See our contact page for our E-Mail, P.O box addresses.
