AN ANGEL WENT TO HEAVEN
During the Christmas season of 2025, the New Testament Church had the honor to give their last farewell to one of their faithful minister, Sister Olivia Ray. They offered her as a sweet fregrance of love and devotion in the service of the Lord for over forty years.
Sister Olivia was raised by a Christian family and as child attended Sunday school. The family lived in the south, and sis Olivia experienced segregation and prejudice. Because of her religious roots she was able to move on and live a happy life, thanks to God.
She had some struggles as a young adult in a world that offered her much freedom for defilement, but she overcame and was able to finish her studies of higher learning and get her degree. Sis Olivia was a teacher in school, and she enjoyed teaching the children. Around this time, she met bro Clabe who soon became her husband, and had the blessing of having the children, Ramon, Clalin and Johanna.
Olivia and Clabe where not fully committed in the ways of God at this, but when they moved to Ohio, she was witnessed to by a co-worker who gave her some inspirational book which she gave to her husband. Receiving conviction after reading this book, they both gave their life to Jesus and gave up the ways of the sinful world
As they continued faithfully attending church and growing in the faith, they both were baptized in the water and filled with the Holy Ghost. Shortly thereafter, elders from the NTC church provided them guidance on a higher and more dedicated way of serving Jesus. After much prayer and counseling they gave their lives to the full- time service of God (Mat 4:19)
Olivia and Clabe while in the NTC ministry, faithfully labor, and Olivia worked closely with the youth winning their trust. They worked through-out North and South America, and without hesitation they followed the Lord wherever he led them, to the end of their lives, leaving the testimony of true servants of the Almighty. God also gave them the joy to see their daughter Clalin enter the ministry. In 1998 the Lord took Bro Clabe to Glory, and was greatly missed by the entire church.
After The Lord taking Clabe sis Olivia’s message was always the same, “the Lord is faithful”. She spoke of God’s faithfulness helping her through sickness, and the excruciating pain of shingles on one of her arms.
Through many trials she was unshakable and trusted him who called her to his service. She lived to see her children married and give her grandchildren. Olivia’s long hours of prayers and work with the youth, left a legacy of love and sacrifice for those who are aspiring to be servants of Christ in his ministry (2Co 23-27).
Although the church has lost one of her Jewels (Zech 9:16) the Kingdom of Heavens has gain one for the glory of God. We can hold back our tears knowing that our beloved sister is sitting at the right hand of the Majesty above (Rev 3:21k). May the Lord raise many like Olivia and bro Clabe to serve in this trouble days, may God bless you.
This is the testimony and life of Olivia Elisabeth Ray:
Dear brethren, Jesus called many to follow him. And that calling came with the sacrifice of forsaking all that they had (Lk 14:33). Even today he is still calling many to live all you have and follow him (Mt 4:19, 16:24). To feed the flock (Jn 21:15-17), not as a hireling but as one who loves them and is willing to give his life to save them from the evil one, the devil (Jn 10:11-14), 'Jesus said as many that give up families, land and houses, would receive even much more in this life and the world to come' (Mt 19:29). He also guaranties them a higher place in the Kingdom of God (Rev 14:1-4). ‘In my father’s house are many mansions, and iam going to prepare a place for you’ (Jn 14:1-4). May you be inspired to follow the Lord where-ever he may lead you, God Bless
