HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Happy Thanksgiving to all believers and participants:

   May you have a blessed Thanksgiving Day.  This day is a special day in the year and an opportunity to give thanks and reflect on God’s faithfulness. It is also a time of gathering with families and friends around the dining table, sharing your love and bringing down those walls of differences between each other. 

   This special Holiday is also an opportunity to visit a house of God (church) and give thanks to the Father in heaven for our daily bread and all blessings he showers upon us.  It is also a time to give to those who are less fortunate than we are.  Remember the elderly widow who came to the temple and gave all she could afford and offered it as a sign of thanksgiving (Lk 21:1-4).

   Just before Jesus was to be crucified, he gathered his disciples and broke bread with them (Lk 22:14-18).  He assured them that the next dinner he was having with them was to be in the Father’s Kingdom.  Yes, one day he will sit with all his people and have a great feast that will last forever.  Glory to God!!
