BLACKNESS OF DARKNESS
Recently I had a dream I was walking in the city with a friend, and as we walked suddenly the clear day turned dark. It was not just dark; it was pitch black.
So dark we could not continue walking for fear we might stumble onto something or someone and get hurt. Because it was so dark we looked up to the skies to see if there were any stars, and there were no stars in the heavens.
By this time, we became so worried caused we could not see anything in front of us, although we could hear people talking with great fear. Everything seemed to stop right in its tracks, after a while this dream faded away. When I woke up, I meditated on it for days.
This dream took me to Jude 13 where it mentions the blackness of darkness and the judgement that will come upon those that resist the will of God. It speaks of wandering stars, angels and people that at one time where light in the church, now their light has gone and become sinful, spiritually dead once again (Jude 6)
Have you ever been by the seashore at night on an island and looking towards the ocean, you will see as far as your eyes can see the blackness of darkness (Jude 13). Biblically this Blackness of Darkness is a place in the heavens and a place of punishment for those that did not walk in the light of God (Jude 13), those who did not walked in the light of his word (Jn 3:19).
Not only for those Old Testament Saints but also New Testament Saints (Rom 2:9,11). Punishment does not come without a warning (Eze 33:12) and this because of the mercies of God (Lam 3:22).
We are called to walk as light in this world, the light that Jesua put in us (Mat 5:14-16). We are also to share this light to others, to those who are dead spiritually. The born-again experience changes us totally, the way we talk, the way we walk and dress, the way we think, the places we go to, and our goals in this life (1P 1:15, Heb 12:14). If any of these areas of your life have not changed yet, might be cause you resisting the will of God for your life. Or you may be a work in progress, so be patient with yourself (Jer 18:6).
We are not called to walk in Blackness of Darkness (hell), but in the light of the City of God, the New Jerusalem, with streets of gold and gates of pearls (Rev 21:21) this is our inheritance. Let’s pray for each other that we may be found worthy for such a glorious place, see you there brethren.
